Dr. Jose F. Vasquez specializes in Individual, Couple, Family Mental Health Counseling, Neurotherapy, Medical Hypnoanalysis, and Clinical Hypnotherapy. He is a fellow member of the National Board for Certified Clinical Hypnotherapy, He maintains a private practice in Augusta GA

With over 27 years experience as a marriage and family counselor, and as a graduate of Capella University with a Ph.D. in Human Services with emphasis in Psychology, a Doctorate Degree in Psychology from California Southern University in Santa Ana California, and a Master Degree in Marriage, Family and Child Therapy from the Phillips Graduate University in Chatsworth, California, Dr. Vasquez is currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. He has been also trained in Biofeedback at the Stens Biofeedback Corporation, and by the leading trainers in Neurofeedback and Hemoencephalography (pIR and nIR HEG) Dr. Hershell Tooming from the Biofeedback Institute of Los Angeles California, and by Dr. Jeff Carmen, in New York. He was also trained by Sue and Sigfrid Othmer from the Othmer Neurofeedback Institute in Los    Angeles,California.

In addition to being a Mental Health Counselor and Neurofeedback practitioner, Dr. Vasquez has presented at National conferences and to general audiences speaking on the topics of Juvenile Delinquency, Croscultural issues for mental health clinicians, Sexual Assault and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), and minority counseling issues. He was also a contracted cross-cultural and minority mental health issues trainer for the University of WA and the State of WA Department of Social Services. In addition, he has been a national clinical trainer for PESI, a mental health training company.

Dr. Vasquez is an interactive, solution-focused Mental Health Counselor. His therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. He integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client.
